Seattle boss gives Schmid vote of confidence

Every coach or manager needs to have the support of their board to be successful, and that is certainly the same in Major League Soccer.

Seattle Sounders FC have one of the best managers in US Soccer history in Sigi Schmid, and he has the full support of his management.
In a Q&A with Joshua Mayers Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer offered a vote of confidence for Coach Sigi Schmid, whose third season at the helm has started with two losses and two ties in four games.

"I'm not someone that has an itchy trigger (finger), first of all," Hanauer said. "Second of all -- clearly we're talking about Sigi (Schmid) here — we picked Sigi because we thought he was the best coach in Major League Soccer. In my mind he didn't un-become the best coach in Major League Soccer over the course of the last two years. For me to be interested in making changes in the head-coaching position has to be a major transformation of some sort."
