Pretty in Pink

Roberto Fernandes, coach of Brazilian second division club Figueirense, felt central defender Jairo was playing significantly below form. So Fernandes forced Jairo to wear a small pink dress over his practice gear.

The coach claimed his method of motivation worked but Cezar Britto, the president of the Brazilian Association of Lawyers called the idea "moral abuse."

"The same rules of respect towards the dignity of a person apply to ordinary workers just as they do to soccer players," Britto said.

Palmeiras coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo said, "I didn't like it one bit. There are many others way of motivating your athletes."
