Clint Dempsey added to his career high for goals in a season when he scored his 10th goal of the season -- nine in the English Premier League and one in the League Cup -- by beating fellow American Brad Friedel to Danny Murphy's corner kick and giving Fulham a 2-2 tie with Aston Villa on Saturday.
"I always wanted to get to double digits," he said. "I came close a few times getting nine, but it feels good and hopefully I'll push on from here. We've got some more games left so I'll just see how many I can get."
Dempsey now has scored 30 EPL goals for Fulham, leaving him only six behind Brian McBride's American record of 36 goals.
