Congratulations to former University of Evansville great David Weir in helping lead Rangers to win their third consecutive Scottish Premier League title.Weir, an All-American with the Purple Aces two decades ago, has been the Rangers' captain since joining them three years ago. The 41-year old was the SPL Player of the Year in 2009-10.
There's another University of Evansville tie to the Glasgow side. One of the Rangers' top players is Maurice Edu, brother of former University of Evansville midfielder Reggie Edu.
